This function is used to read the value of a specified element of an IDN from a specified drive. It should be used when reading an IDN that takes string values.

<IDN>: 1 to 65535
<element>: 1 to 7

Limitations

  • Read only
  • Executed only in SERCOS communication phases 2, 3 and 4
  • Not supported in EtherCAT system
