Help:External Media

It is possible to place any kind of files on the Manz-Wiki server, which then can be downloaded through Wiki. These files can only be downloaded by logged in users.

This method is used, for example, for software releases distribution.

Placement on server

The external media location is accessible via \\webserver-dmz within the MANZ network domain.

A directory exists for every public namespace. Users, who can create articles in a public namespace, have write rights in the respective directory.

Providing download link

A download link can be provided using the template {{External-Media}}. The usage is described on the template page itself.
