Human Machine Interface

The softMI is a touch screen graphic terminal that allows machine operators to control, monitor, and collect data from automated industrial machines and servo motion systems controlled by softMC motion controllers. The softMI serves as a simple and a user friendly operator panel for programming and controlling industrial machines. It includes HMIStudio software for creating distinct operator interfaces for industrial processes and machine applications.

Connectivity

The softMI communicates directly with softMC 3 and softMC 7 motion controller by means of Modbus TCP/IP running on Ethernet. Three high-speed serial ports allow simultaneous connection and communication with various controllers. The softMI provides high capacity flash and SDRAM memory for storing user configurations, and a USB slave port for fast downloading of user configurations.

High Quality Graphics

The softMI features a bright, high resolution, 65536-color, LCD TFT touch screen. Three different panel sizes are available: 4.3", 7" and 10.1".

Full-Featured Software

The softMI is bundled with HMIStudio programming software, a powerful and easy-to-use tool for designing colorful graphical operator interfaces, stocked with a full and customizable library of component objects. The software supports various image formats (e.g., BMP, JPG, GIF) and all Windows fonts.

Machine Integration

The softMI design includes bracket mounting to enables easy integration into customer machine.
