This property defines the group Jerk maximum scaling factor. Maximum values of Jerk can be scaled independently of velocity, acceleration or deceleration.
Changing JerkRate factors of a group automatically changes the relevant factor of each axis to the new value.
Short form
<group>.JRate
Syntax
<group>.JerkRate = <expression>
?<group>.JerkRate
Availability
Versions 4.0.1 and higher
Type
Double
Range
0.1 to 100
| NOTE | |
| Contrary to other properties if a value beyond the given range is assigned to rate properties (Vrate,Arate,Jrate, ...),only a NOTE will be returned and the value will be automatically limited to min-max value. For example Vrate = 0 will set Vrate to 0.1 and vrate = 1000 will set vrate to 100. Issue 4626 |
Units
Percents
Default
100
Scope
Task or Terminal
Limitations
To set the value within a task, the motion group must be attached to that task or from a command line. The total jerkrate value is combination of the system’s value and the element’s.
Examples
Setting G1.Jrate = 50 will cause the system to reduce maximum jerk value to 50% of its original value. This means the motion jerk will not exceed: (sys.jrate/100)*(G1.jrate/100)*G1.jmax
