It is possible to place any kind of files on the Wiki server, which then can be downloaded through Wiki. These files can only be downloaded by logged-in users.
This method is used, for example, for software releases distribution.
Placement on server
The external media location is accessible via \\dertarchnas10.manz.lc\ExternalMedia_Wiki
within the company's network domain.
A directory exists for every public namespace. Users, who can create articles in a public namespace, have write rights in the respective directory.
Providing download link
A download link can be provided using the template {{External-Media}}. The usage is described on the template page itself.
